Settling in...

Hey guys!

Just a quick update...we're starting to get settled in now, we've both got jobs (very helpful!). Lance is working for Kona doing something at a desk (I don't think he even really knows what exactly), which isn't as important as that he gets a bike and free passes for Whistler mountain bike park, which at $40 a day, has also made us some friends! double yay!

I'm temping at the Nurses Union at the mo, literally right now, which considering I don't do much except play on the net, they're paying me really, really well. Not quite sure what I'll do after this, but I've got til November to work it out.

Vancouver is completely gorgeous! There are parks everywhere, and the mountains are so close. There's heaps on - including our very own Brooke Fraser, who we went to see last week(man she's random though, she got on to discussing her ovaries...). The shopping is great - there is a 450 shop mall just near where I work (very, very dangerous!). And heaps of places to eat, with pretty much everything you could ever want (also very dangerous - good thing we don't have a car!).

Oh and high of all highs..... (drum roll...) we have a bed!!! So we're finally off our thermarests. Very, very exciting!

  1. Sounds like fun, Julia. We visited Vancouver for one day in August. We enjoyed it, despite the overcast weather. We stayed right downtown which was fun. Well, look forward to reading more on your blog.
